Arabica coffee is a type of coffee plant that is native to the countries of Yemen and Ethiopia. This type of coffee is also known as mountain coffee or coffee arabica. The coffee beans that are produced by these plants are considered to be among the best in the world. Some people prefer the aroma and flavor of arabica coffee beans to any of the plants that are commonly grown in South American countries. At the same time, arabica coffee beans tend to contain less caffeine than some other coffee plants.
In order to produce the highest quality beans, the arabica coffee plant usually takes around seven years to fully mature. These coffee plants tend to thrive in areas where there is light shade for the most part of the day. This is actually in stark contrast to some other types of coffee plants that require a great deal of sunlight in order to thrive. The arabica coffee plant can also be cultivated at a wide range of altitudes, including areas that are way below sea level, unlike some other varieties of coffee plants.
